CoSeed Terms of Service

Effective: June 18, 2026

By using the CoSeed app and service, you agree to these terms. CoSeed is operated by Pharos Ventures, Inc.

What CoSeed is. CoSeed is a recordkeeping app for rotating savings circles among friends. We help you organize pods and keep track of who has paid whom. We do not hold, move, or process your money. All payments between pod members happen directly on the wallet apps you already use (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, cash). You are responsible for sending those payments and for confirming receipt in the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. resident, and legally able to enter into binding contracts to use CoSeed.

2. Beta service

CoSeed is currently offered as a beta service. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Always confirm important payments out-of-band with your pod members.

3. How payments work — you, not us, move the money

CoSeed shows you who owes whom in a pod and provides links that open your existing wallet app (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle) with the amount and recipient pre-filled. The transfer itself happens between you and the other member on that wallet app, governed by that wallet app’s terms. CoSeed:

You are solely responsible for your transfers, including for resolving any errors, chargebacks, refunds, or disputes with your wallet-app provider.

4. Slot bidding (paid upgrades)

Some pods offer a “slot bid” that lets you pay a fee to move into an earlier round. The bid fee is split between (a) a platform service fee paid directly to CoSeed and (b) a compensation amount paid directly to the member whose slot is being displaced. Both payments are wallet-to-wallet on your existing wallet app — CoSeed does not collect or split the bid amount on your behalf. A bid is a paid upgrade to a specific slot, not a wager. Bid fees are final once both payments are confirmed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CoSeed to launder funds, evade tax obligations, circumvent sanctions, harass other members, or simulate transactions that did not occur. CoSeed may suspend accounts that abuse the service or that we reasonably believe are involved in fraudulent activity.

6. No financial advice

CoSeed is recordkeeping software, not a financial advisor or fiduciary. Nothing in the app constitutes investment, tax, or legal advice.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pharos Ventures is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Because CoSeed does not handle your money, we are not responsible for any loss caused by a pod member failing to pay, sending the wrong amount, sending to the wrong recipient, or for any failure of an external wallet app.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
